If those who have completed their doctorate and specialization training in medicine/dentistry apply for the master's program, they are evaluated with an ALES score of 70 without the requirement to take the ALES exam.
Students who were enrolled in non-thesis master's programs before 6/2/2013 or who have graduated can apply to doctoral programs.
During the final registration, the student is asked to fill out an advisor preference form. For each student, considering the field they want to work in and their advisor preference, an advisor is recommended to the institute by eabdak/easdak from among the faculty members of the university. The advisor is appointed within a maximum of fifteen days from the beginning of the semester by the decision of eyk.
If the advisor is assigned to another institution for more than three months, appointed, leaves the university or in extraordinary circumstances, the advisory duty ends and a new advisor is assigned to the student.
Those who have received their bachelor's degree in fields different from the master's or doctoral program they are applying for, those who have received their bachelor's or master's degree from higher education institutions other than the university they are applying for, are applied to those who have received their bachelor's or master's degree in fields different from the doctoral program they are applying for.
The courses to be taken in the scientific preparation program; for master's students, it is determined at the undergraduate level, for doctoral students, at the undergraduate and/or master's level with the proposal of the relevant eabd/easd and the decision of the eyk.
Compulsory courses in the scientific preparation program cannot replace the courses deemed necessary to complete the relevant graduate program.
A student in the scientific preparation program, in addition to scientific preparation courses, can also take courses aimed at the graduate program with the recommendation of the relevant eabd/easd presidency and the approval of eyk. Students included in the scientific preparation class can take up to 60 ects credits of scientific preparation courses within an academic year.
The duration to be spent in the scientific preparation program is a maximum of two semesters. Summer education is not included in this period. This period cannot be extended except for term leaves and the student who cannot succeed at the end of the period is disaffiliated. The time spent in this program is not included in the durations of master's or doctoral programs.
Students enrolled in a master's, doctorate, or proficiency in art program can be accepted as special students with the approval of the institute department/department of main art where they are enrolled, to the graduate courses in other higher education institutions. The exemption procedures of the courses that the students accepted to the graduate courses take as a special student and succeed are carried out by the institute department/department of main art where they are enrolled.
Transfer applications are made between the dates specified in the academic calendar and students who have completed at least one semester in another department/program of the university or other higher education institutions, have succeeded in all the courses they continue in the program they come from, and have received a grade point average of at least 70 out of 100 full points for master's degree, at least 75 out of 100 full points for doctorate or equivalent points can transfer.
The student who will transfer must meet the application requirements of the institute programs.
Students in the thesis stage cannot transfer.
Except for universities recognized by the Council of Higher Education, transfers cannot be made from postgraduate programs abroad.

Transfer applications and evaluation are decided by the relevant department/program, taking into account their opinion.
The time used by a student who enrolls in a program through lateral transfer is included in the time to complete the program.
The credit equivalence of the courses previously taken by the student and the exemption from the courses are evaluated by the commission formed by the relevant eabdak/easdak, and the recommendation of the commission is decided by the eabdak/easdak's opinion, by the eyk. If necessary, the commission may suggest the relevant student to take additional courses for adaptation to the program he/she applied for. The grade of the courses from which the student, who is accepted for lateral transfer, is exempted is considered valid.
Turkish and foreign nationals who have earned the right to enroll in graduate programs must complete their final registration by submitting the required documents in the student admission announcement on the dates specified in the academic calendar. Those who do not register on the specified dates or whose registration cannot be made due to missing documents and similar reasons will not be registered in any way later. If the candidate does not complete the final registration, the number of candidates equal to the missing quota earns the right to register according to the success score from the reserve candidates.
Students are required to register for courses deemed appropriate by their advisors among the courses offered each semester. The course selections of students who register for graduate programs are carried out by the thesis/non-thesis master's and doctoral advisors, and for students who have not been assigned an advisor, this task is carried out by the relevant eabd/easd chair until an advisor is assigned.
An academic year should not be less than 60 ECTS credits (including seminar course/s).

Students enrolled in graduate programs are obliged to renew their registration at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters, on the dates specified in the academic calendar. The registration of those who have a contribution fee or tuition fee and do not pay is not renewed. During the period they do not pay the contribution fee, they are not given documents such as grade schedule, student document, internship letter, and military document. Students who do not renew their registration cannot select courses for that semester. In the thesis stage, they are left out of evaluation for that semester by the thesis advisor/thesis monitoring committee. The periods elapsed in these cases are included in the period of study.
Graduate students, if deemed necessary in their course schedules, can take up to two courses from a university institute or another higher education institution's graduate program upon the proposal of the relevant eabdak/easdak and the decision of the eyk. Provided that they are not compulsory courses of the program they are taken from, a requirement of success is sought in these courses and they are counted in the credit load.
Graduate students are required to take at least one course on scientific research techniques and research and publication ethics during their postgraduate education.
The conditions for the acceptance and deduction from the total credit that the student needs to take of the courses they have taken in summer term, special studentship and previously in graduate programs are determined by the advisor or the authorized faculty member's opinion, upon the suggestion of the relevant eabdak/easdak by eyk. The credits taken by these students can be considered valid for the program they are continuing, with the suggestion of the advisor and the president of eabd/easd and the approval of eyk, provided that it does not exceed half of the total national credit in the programs they follow. Exemption requests for courses are made within the first two weeks from the beginning of each semester and are concluded within the following week.
Students, considering the credit limits of the program they are registered in, can drop or change the courses they choose within the excuse registration renewal/add-drop period specified in the academic calendar with the approval of the advisor and the decision of the EYK.
Provided that they have not taken it in the undergraduate program, master's students with thesis can choose a maximum of two courses, and non-thesis master's students can choose a maximum of three courses from the undergraduate program courses with the approval of the advisor. Doctoral students can take courses from the master's program with the appropriate opinion of the advisor. Courses taken from undergraduate or scientific preparation programs in doctoral programs are not counted towards the credit load.
Students are required to attend 70% of the theoretical courses and 80% of the practical courses in the programs they are enrolled in. A student who does not meet the attendance requirement cannot take the end-of-semester exam. Attendance is required for courses retaken due to absence; attendance is not required for courses repeated due to failure.
Students and faculty members responsible for courses can request a re-examination of the exam papers and the achievement grade for material error by applying to the institute directorate with a petition within five business days from the entry of the exam results into the automation system. It is examined by the commission established by the EYK, and if necessary, the opinion of the responsible faculty member/members of the course is taken and concluded within a maximum of fifteen days. If a material error is determined in the exam papers and exam grade charts, it is corrected with the EYK decision. The result is notified to the student in writing.
Students are obliged to succeed in the compulsory and elective courses they have taken.
In case of failure, the following points are considered:
When a student fails in compulsory courses, they have to repeat the courses. However, for the compulsory courses removed from the curriculum, students take the courses approved by the advisor's suggestion, the proposal of the eabd/easd presidency, and the eyk. In case of failure in elective courses, the student can retake the failed course or choose another elective course. If the students do not take the compulsory/elective course/courses in the education-training plan of the semester they are registered in, or if they fail in the course; they complete their course registration procedures during the add-drop week with the approval of the advisor's appropriate opinion and the approval of the relevant unit's management board, provided that the course name, course credit, ects credit, and content match, and they do not exceed the course load by taking the course/courses opened in different semesters (fall semester course in spring semester-spring semester course in fall semester) from other departments/programs and units.
Students may be granted a leave of absence for at least one and at most two semesters for valid and justifiable reasons deemed appropriate by the relevant unit management board. The period of leave is not counted in the teaching period. A student who is granted leave in this way cannot continue education and training, cannot obtain a student ID, and cannot take exams at the end of the semester in which he/she is on leave. The total leave granted to the student cannot exceed half of the program's learning period.
Except for extraordinary situations that can be documented such as serious illness, accident, death of a relative, natural disasters, applications for leave of absence must be made to the registered unit within the course registration and renewal period specified in the academic calendar and are concluded by the relevant unit management board within the excuse registration renewal week specified in the academic calendar and announced.
The student, whose leave of absence application is deemed appropriate by the unit, does not pay the contribution fee/tuition fee for the semester/year in which he/she is considered on leave. The student, whose leave of absence application is not deemed appropriate by the unit, completes the course registration and renewal procedures by depositing the contribution fee/tuition fee within the add-drop period.
During the education and training period, students who are arrested or convicted, or those who have earned the right to register to our university while in a penal institution and have registered, can freeze their registration if they request and provided that the upper boards of the unit where their registration is accepted.
A student who wishes to delete their registration voluntarily applies to the institute directorate with a petition. The registration is deleted by the decision of the EYK.
Registrations of students who are expelled from the university according to the higher education institutions student discipline regulation and students who go to another university by lateral transfer are deleted.
If it is later understood that the student did not meet the anticipated registration acceptance conditions and that the documents or information they provided are incorrect, incomplete or tampered with, the student's registration is deleted and their relationship with the institute is terminated.
The tuition and registration fees paid by the students whose registrations are deleted are not refunded. The situation of the student who deletes the registration is reported to the relevant units and institutions.
If there is no faculty member with the qualifications set in the university staff, a faculty member can be selected as a consultant from another higher education institution by eyk.
Field expertise course and consultancy are non-national credit courses opened by their advisors for master's with thesis and doctorate/art proficiency students. Graduate students are required to take these courses to be opened by their advisors every semester. In cases where there is a second advisor, the field expertise course is opened by the first advisor.
Students who have successfully completed 7 courses and 1 seminar course with at least 21 credits and whose thesis proposal is deemed appropriate by the institute board of directors, need to choose the thesis course in their course registrations. Otherwise, they do not provide the 120 ects credits required for graduation.
